Mary Kathryn departed this life on October 10, 2016 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall.

Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2016 from 11-1 at Baldwin Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Service will be at 1 in the chapel with Dr. Clarence Cooper officiating, burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.

Mary Kathryn Barry was born September 23, 1929, in Pioneer, Louisiana to Leroy Fallin and Rosa Mae Posie Fallin. She married Valentine Daniel "Buster" Barry on June 12, 1947.

She is survived by four children, Alan Barry (Margaret) of Brandon; Anthony (Baretta) Barry (Sharon) of Cato; Regina Steinhauer (Bernie) of Easton, Minnesota; and Joseph Barry of Cato, two sisters, Betty Smith of Jackson and Charlene Thomas of Picayune; grandchildren, Stephen (Mandy) Barry, Dennis (Leslie) Barry, Paul (Shay) Barry, Christina Barry, Bernard Daniel Steinhauer (Yaylen), Nathan Barry Steinhauer and Christine Mae Steinhauer; fifteen great-grandchildren, Shelby, Gage, Myra, Gavin, Nolan, Landon, Avery, Addison, Brooke, Harley, Asher, Alyssa, Sarala, Breann and Emory.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Leroy (Buddy) Fallin, Jr. and a granddaughter, Cassandra Lynn Barry.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chip Holbrook, Dr. Harpal Singh, the staffs at Strong River Villa Assisted Living, Simpson General Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for the excellent care and compassion shown to our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother during her last year.
