Glen Dale Pryor, Sr., 77, passed from this life Friday, June 16, 2017, at Hospice Ministries, Ridgeland.

Visitation will be 1:00-3:00pm, Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Memorial services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel.

Glen was born July 19, 1939, in Yalobusha County, Mississippi, a son of the late James Wilton Pryor and Laura Ophelia Ayers Pryor. Glen loved horses and as a young man he rode bulls in rodeo shows. Following a 22 year career, he retired from Crescent Uniform and Linen Service, where he was affectionately known as "Abe", for his distinctive beard.

Glen loved his Lord and Savior. He was a faithful member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon where he served as an usher. Glen studied his Bible on a daily basis and had a passion for spreading the Gospel. His strong conviction to share the scriptures motivated him to join Gideons International, and Glen truly lived the Gideon precept, "We exist as an advocate for the lost, to bring them the saving knowledge of the Word."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Guinn Ruth Pryor, and son, Shone C. Pryor.

Survivors include his wife of 7 years, Evelyn Pryor; son, Glen Dale Pryor, Jr.; daughters, Melisa Craft, Natalie Bigby, Teresa King, and Julia Madden; sister, Ramona Beardian; grandchildren, Brandi Thomas, Scott Martin, Dillon King, Kristal Adcock, Laure White, Victoria Warren, Bethany Mashburn-Evans, and James Partin; and numerous great-grandchildren.
