Annie Rebecca Pace Ball Bitner, 84, of Florence, MS passed away and went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital.

Rebecca was born on December 21, 1932 to Bessie Candace Pace and William Frank Pace.

Rebecca married Winston Curtis Ball and together they had four children, Jeffrey Curtis Ball, Mark Dewayne Ball, David Kent Ball, and Tereese Rene Ball Collette. She worked at Bell South for 22 years. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family and planting flowers in her many gardens. She loved to just walk...

Annie Rebecca Pace Ball Bitner, 84, of Florence, MS passed away and went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital.

Rebecca was born on December 21, 1932 to Bessie Candace Pace and William Frank Pace.

Rebecca married Winston Curtis Ball and together they had four children, Jeffrey Curtis Ball, Mark Dewayne Ball, David Kent Ball, and Tereese Rene Ball Collette. She worked at Bell South for 22 years. Rebecca enjoyed spending time with her family and planting flowers in her many gardens. She loved to just walk through them to look at all of her beautiful plants and flowers. Rebecca was a painter. She would paint pictures for anyone that wanted her to. Her paintings were true to life, as well as beautiful. She always put others first; she was selfless. She always made sure everyone was taken care of.

Rebecca lived an inspiring life full of strength and independence. She is beloved and will be greatly missed.

Rebecca got remarried to Eugene C. Bitner, whom she was with until his passing on April 25, 2015.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter Tereese Ball Collette with Chris Cox, and son Kent Ball and his wife Darlene, sister Emma Jane Pace Sharpe and brother Edgar Pace and his wife Margaret, six grandchildren, Frank Collette IV, Jonathan Ball, Christopher Collette, Curtis Ball, Daniel Collette, and Christian Cox and eleven great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, as well as the rest of her relatives and friends.

Rebecca was predeceased by her mother Bessie and father Frank, her husband, Eugene Bitner, sons Mark Ball and Jeff Ball, three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Visitation for Annie Rebecca Pace Ball Bitner will be Friday, August 11, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with services at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Lakewood South in Jackson, MS.
